  • Welcome to season 7

    8.0
    "Great"
This episode introduces the season 7 cast with a few mini stories from the comical mismeetings between Steve and Clare to the more serious racism plot for Brandon Walsh.[p] The best character in this episode is Taz the rockstar. He acts like a prototype Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow. You wish he had more scenes![/p] [p]Brandons does it again and meets a charming young lady who befriends him but brings trouble his way. In the scene where Brandon is squaring off at the racist redneck I think its abit of character for Mr Walsh. He's intelligent enough to rise above it and talk or walk away from the confrontation; knowing that he would get a good kicking should he stick around as they are twice his size and strength![/p]moreless

    • Taz (Randall Slavin) says that he recognizes Kelly (Jennie Garth) from the May 1994 issue of Seventeen magazine. Kelly acknowledges this and compliments him for having a good memory. This is an error in the timeline. The magazine with Kelly on the cover came out in episode 28 of season 5, which aired and took place in May 1995.

    • In the scene where Steve is sitting on the bed talking to Val about going to surprise Claire, he has just stepped out of the shower. The camera switches views between over Steve's shoulder and over Val's; when that happens, the soapsuds on Steve's ear disappear and reappear with each angle switch.
