Darrin thinks of himself as a modern man who should take charge of things and so, when he reads a book which states that pregnant women should be as active as possible for the health of themselves and their baby, he begins to insist that Samantha does more work and exercise than usual. Of course, Samantha's mother, Endora (Agnes Moorehead) does NOT agree and makes him see the error of his ways by putting a spell on him which makes him experience all the more unplesant aspects of pregnancy, such as very intense back pain, somewhat extreme emotional sensitivity and others 'horrors'
After realising, through his own experience, that he was very wrong, he apologises to his wife and the spell is removed. After this, he understands that a woman in Sam's condition needs lots of tender loving care and not QUITE so much exercise.
A very funny episode and a terrific performance by Dick York. A 'must see'.
