When Darrin makes Samantha return a coat, Endora puts a spell on him to turn him into a penny-pinching cheapskate. Things get worse when a bewitched Darrin seems to out-Scrooge a cheap client, Mr. Bigelow.

    Samantha could have anything she desired simply by using witchcraft to zap it up, but instead, she chooses to do everything the 'mortal' way (as Darrin always insists upon) and pay for things, however, Darrin is far less than fair when she purchases a coat she likes which is a real bargain and he insists that she return it because he feels it's too expensive.

    Samantha is upset by Darrin's demand but she gives in to him (as she almost always does) and returns the coat. Endora is NOT pleased and has an argument with Samantha which ends when she puts a spell on Darrin which makes him so mean and penny-pinching that he makes Ebeneezer Scrooge look like The Good Fairy! After cutting corners in every area imagineable, including on food, Darrin drives Sam mad and angers Larry (David White) when he is even worse than a miserly client. Needless to say, he finally learns his lesson and the spell is removed and, of course, Samantha gets her coat after all.

    This one is fairly dull and shows Darrin in a very negative light which Dick York fans may not like.moreless
