When Endora grants Darrin three wishes, without him being aware of it, he completes wastes the first when he wishes that an elevator would hurry up and the second on his desire to see a young woman in a skimpy bikini. It's the third wish, however, which has real consequences when he wishes he could be his boss, Larry Tate (David White) because Larry is needed at the office to meet with an important client and is still stuck in Chicago where all the planes have been grounded due to thick fog.

When Darrin gets his wish and realises that he has become Larry, he manages quite well until he has to 'go home' to his 'wife', Louise, (Irene Vernon) and act in a way in which he believes Larry would act. Much to Louise's annoyance, Samantha decides to spend the evening and all sorts of problems ensue when the real Larry arrives home from Chicago and has to be kept away from the Darrin-Larry until Endora's spell ends at midnight.
