Bewitched

The character of Tommy Carter, in this episode that was filmed in December 1965, is obviously modeled after the rising star Muhammad Ali, who had just won his second title fight the month before (November 1965). First Carter makes the remark, "I'm the prettiest and I've got an iron jaw, so bust me one." In the build up to the first Sonny Liston fight in 1964, the colorful Ali boasted "I'm the prettiest thing that ever lived," a continued favorite claim of his. The Carter character follows up with a rhyme: "Give it your best, put it to the test, and I'll put you to rest." From very early in his career, Ali was known for the rhymes he created to taunt his opponents.
