How are Aunt Clara, cousin Serena and Uncle Arthur related to Samantha? Are Esmerelda and Dr. Bombay relatives? I also remember an episode about a cousin who was a leprechaun. There are probably others. Has anyone ever figured out Samantha's family tree?
The only thing I am absolutely sure of is that Serena is the daughter of Samantha's father's sister, but given that Serena is American she must have been born there rather than in Britain where Maurice is obviously from.
Aunt Clara's relationship isn't explicitly stated, but from the way Endora, Maurice,and otherstreat her, I infer she's Endora's older sister.
Uncle Arthur is Endora's younger brother.
Cousin Henry is another cousin of Samantha, but it isn't stated whose side of the family he's from. Cousin Edgar is another cousin, but again his relationship isn't clear. One can infer that both are from Endora's side since it's Endora who announces their visit.
Serena is Samantha's cousin, but I don't recall whether she's from Endora's side or Maurice's side.
Neither Esmeralda nor Dr. Bombay seems related to Samantha. Esmeralda is an employee and Dr. Bombay is the family physician. Neither apothecary seems related to Samantha.
Hepzibah is called the lord high priestess. While her relationship isn't explicitly stated even though Samantha identifies her as an aunt before Larry, it's clear to me that she isn't related to Samantha. That Samantha identifies her as an aunt is probably a ruse to explain away her exotic tasts and eccentric behavior.
Aunt Hagatha and a few other aunts are seen in several episodes. They're clearly related to Samantha, but it isn't clear whether it's on Endora's side or Maurice's. I don't remember whether another uncle besides Arthur appears on the show.
On Darrin's side, only his mother Phyllis and father Frank are seen. An aunt of his who is probably mentally disturbed is referred to a few times. And Samantha mistakes a kindly old man for Darrin's Uncle Albert, who's on his way for a visit. The old man is really a thief, who capitalizes on Samantha's unfamiliarity with Darrin's uncle and ingratiates himself into their house for a few days to case it. Darrin's real Uncle Albert shows up eventually but is seen only briefly.
I'm sure there are other relatives, but I don't remember them at this writing.
Serena told Darrin's mother that she was from Maurice's side of the family.
We also know that Uncle Arthur is Endora's brother.
I don't think it's clear how Aunt Clara is related. It seems like she's a great aunt, becauseI think it was mentioned that Endora and Arthur were the only siblings in their family.
I don't think Esmeralda and Dr. Bombay are relatives. In Esmeralda's first episode, Samantha interviews her for the job as if they had never met before.
Maybe they need to print a 'Bewitched' family tree so that we can all sort it out? 
What about Aunt Hagatha? She is Endora's sister. I'm pretty sure that Clara is is also her sister.
Hi Skippercollecto! Is far as I have ever been able to discern, Samantha is the only child of Maurice and Endora (Of course!). Uncle Arthur is Endora's younger (by an unspecified number of years) brother. Much older witch, Aunt Clara is related to Arthur and Endora (a distant older cousin, perhaps?) and thus she was younger Samantha's dear [elder] "Aunt Clara." Cousin Serena is related to Samantha on Maurice's side of the family. Serena explained that to Samantha's mother-in-law in one episode,and in the first season Samantha told Darrin that she looked liker her father.(Note: Elizabeth Montgomery bore a strong resemblence to her father, actor Robert Montgomery.)

Thanks to everyone who sorted out the relatives for me. The family tree was a big help.
Was Samantha's surname ever mentioned? I don't ever remember hearing it. I am wondering if someone came up with a name in a novelization or comic book or fan fiction or even the Tabitha series.
As far as I am aware, Samantha's surname was never mentioned during the entire run of the show. Pity, I've always wanted to know myself.
There is no doubt that Aunt Clara is from Endora's side of the family and, as mentioned, Serena is from Maurice's. Whenever Maurice sees Aunt Clara, he always kisses her hand and tells her how beautiful and amazing she looks which he wouldn't do if she was one of his relatives. Endora calls Clara by her first name, she doesn't call her Aunt Clara, so I think they are sisters. When the baby is born, Clara says she is now a great aunt rather than a great, great aunt, so that means that she is Samantha's aunt from the first generation which, in my opinion, makes her Endora's sister.
As has been stated, Serena says a couple of times that she is from Maurice's side of the family but exactly how, we are not sure. Maurice is British, Serena is American so that probably means she is the daughter of his sister or brother who emigrated to America as Endora is also clearly British.
The whole thing is pretty confusing but, as you have all said, most of the familial relationships were never explained properly on the show.
