Samantha's friend, Gertrude, (Kit Smythe) is an ordinary looking girl with the ordinary desire to have a happy marriage. Samantha, ever the romantic, decides to try a little matchmaking and asks Darrin to bring his artist friend, Kermit (Adam West) around for dinner so that the two can meet. The incredibly handsome Kermit falls for Gertrude immediately and Darrin wrongly suspects that Gertrude must be a witch who is using her powers to ensnare the young man.
When Darrin realises that Kermit is indeed very serious about Gertrude, he engineers the arrival at a local restaurant of Susan, (Chris Noel) Kermit's former girlfriend, but it soon becomes clear that it's Gertrude that Kermit loves and when he proposes to her and a simple wedding takes place, Darrin has to admit that the two were meant for each other.
This episode is rather dull compared to so many others, but is saved by the appearance of Adam West, television's original Batman. Fans will enjoy it though.
