When Samantha finds that her powers have stopped working, she must call on Dr. Bombay (Bernard Fox) to get her well again. Dr. Bombay informs her that she has lost her powers because she has not been using her witchcraft enough and therefore, they have deserted her. The cure, he tells her, is to float above ground as though flying for an extended period of time until her powers return.

Endora is absolutely disgusted that Samantha's marriage to a mortal has brought her to a point where she has lost her magical powers and insists that her daughter follow Dr. Bombay's instructions to the letter. When Darrin calls to tell Samantha that he has a meeting with a new client who just happens to be a former girlfriend, Endora answers the phone and tells him that Samantha can't come to the phone because she is "flying". When a fly buzzes around during Darrin's meeting, he is convinced that Samantha has turned herself into the thing in order to spy on him. Darrin is apologetic when he realises the truth and Samantha finally gets her powers back.moreless
