  • When Aunt Clara is nostalgic during Thanksgiving and wants to visit 17th century Plymouth, she gets more than she bargained for.

    9.0
It's Thanksgiving in the Stephens house and Aunt Clara (Marion Lorne) is happily reminiscing about the Thanksgiving she spent at Plymouth in the 17th century, thinking about how much she would like to pay a visit there and hopefully catch up with some old friends. Deciding to do just that, she casts a spell and takes herself, Darrin, Samantha, Tabatha (Erin Murphy) and Gladys Kravitz (Sandra Gould back with her.

The problems begin when they are improperly dressed and Darrin unknowingly greets the early settlers in a modern manner, causing them to think him very odd indeed. The issue of correct clothing is soon sorted out but when Darrin lights a fire using matches he had in his pocket, he is immediately accused of being a witch, a most serious charge indeed as the penalty for witchcraft is death by hanging or burning.

At the ensuing trial, Samantha successfully defends Darrin against the charge by using some carefully applied magic of her own. Before long they are all zapped back to Morning Glory Circle and Gladys runs off to show Abner (George Tobias) her costume as proof of where she has been but, sadly for her, Samantha changes her back into her normal clothes before she has a chance.

A terrific episode, very funny and lots of great performances by the cast.moreless
