  • Awful! Bewitched is generally a great series with good morals and nice characters. In this one, Darrin's boss thinks he's caught him out having an affair, and seems really pleased about it!moreless

    "Abysmal"
Darrin's worried that people will find out that his wife's a witch, but doesn't seem bothered if everyone thinks he's adulterous. Sam is also quite happy to go along with a lie which makes out that her husband cheats on her.

Darrin's boss, Larry, has always eyed-up the ladies a bit, but seems faithful to his wife (who is also pregnant), but thinks 'catching' Darrin commiting adultery is all a big hoot - until he 'discovers' that it's with his wife.
Larry then threatens to fire Darrin if he does it again. AGAIN?!!! Does that mean that having Darrin working for him is more important than his marriage?

It's not funny, it's just sad. Sam, Darrin and Larry all act completely out of character. It's like Sex and the City 40 years earlier. AVOIDmoreless

  • Darrin and Samantha decide to have a romantic weekend in an expensive motel but it causes more problems than they could possibly bargain for!

    "Poor"
In an effort to put some spark into their marriage, Darrin and Samantha decide to spend the weekend in a very expensive motel. When Sam arrives wearing a short, dark wig, Darrin is both surprised and amused but things go wrong when Larry (David White) sees his colleague with the mystery brunette and believes that Darrin is having an affair with an attractive mystery woman.

Surprisingly, Larry seems quite pleased by this which is quite a surprise as Larry himself is a happily married man. Meanwhile, later in the evening, Samantha needs to use witchcraft to pop home to collect a book that Darrin has been enjoying and wants to finish reading. When Larry sees the bewigged brunette at Darrin's house, he tells his wife, Louise (Irene Vernon) who decides that she must go to the hotel and try to help her good friends salvage their marriage. Everything is satisfactorily explained when Louise realises that the mystery brunette is only Samantha in a wig, the only problem is, Larry can't figure out how Sam got back to the hotel so quickly but Darrin explains that with ease, he informs his boss that she used a shortcut.

Not a very good episode when held up against the quality of some of the others in the series, but it certainly isn't the worst either.moreless
