Darrin and Samantha have been married for six months and arrange to meet to celebrate the milestone, but Margaret Marshall, (Martha Hyer) a beautiful and fabulously wealthy client of McMahon and Tate has other ideas. She insists that Darrin fly to Chicago that night and meet her to discuss the account. Faced with losing the large Marshall account, Darrin has little choice, although he is very disappointed.
When he finds himself on board Margaret's lavish yacht, Darrin begins to suspect that she has more on her mind than her account. When he sees a stray cat on board, his suspicious (and guilty) mind has him believing that it is Samantha in disguise and that she is checking up on him. However, Darrin succesfully manages to avoid Margaret's romantic overtures but when he sees a large pelican suddenly appearing on the yacht's railing, he believes that THIS must be his wife and he proceeds to make romantic overtures of his own, much to the wicked delight of Endora (Agnes Moorehead) who is, in fact, the pelican in disgise. Needless to say, Miss Marshall and her yacht's crew find Darrin's behavior around the cat and the pelican rather odd but all ends well when the client realises that Darrin is a happily married man who loves his wife very much and that her efforts are in vain. To top it all off, she agrees to let Darrin handle her account.moreless
