Endora and Phyllis, Darrin's mom, are competing against each other again. They each give Tabitha the same exact bear, but Endora gives her bear the power to dance. The bear jigs its way into Tabitha's heart and Frank gets the idea to market the dancing bear. Using some fast talking, Samantha dissuades a toymaker to produce bears for a next Christmas rush and Tabitha gets to keep the one-of-a-kind toy to herself.moreless

When Endora and Phyllis engage in 'The Battle of the Grandmothers', things becaome a bit complicated when they both buy the exact same teddy bear as a gift for Tabatha.

Now that Endora is getting used to being a grandmother, she delights in giving her granddaughter gifts, in this case, a very nice teddy bear, however, trouble brews when Darrin's mother, Phyllis, (Mabel Albertson) brings along the exact same bear for Tabatha.

Samantha tries to be diplomatic and says that Tabatha will be quite happy with two bears, but she doesn't count on the fact that Endora uses magic on hers so that it dances whenever it hears Tabatha's name, thus making HER bear much more favored by the little girl. Phyllis is clearly upset that Tabatha doesn't want the gift she gave her and in the meantime, Samantha and Darrin have to come up with an explanation as to why Endora's bear can dance in the first place. Darrin finally has a brainwave and says that HE made the bear dance by inserting a special mechanism inside it which he invented himself. When Phyllis buys Tabatha a clown to replace the bear, it's necessary for THAT to be able to dance as well in order for Darrin's story about his abilities with toys to ring true.

Frank Stephens, (Robert F.Simon) bored since his retirement and looking for yet another venture to occupy himself, decides that he and Darrin should go into business and market the amazing mechanism which makes toys dance. He even gets a wealthy toymaker very interested in the idea and the man wants to mass-produce the bears as quickly as possible in time for the Christmas rush! The question is, how will Darrin and Samantha work their way out of this dilemma? Better watch this terrific episode and find out!moreless
