  • Endora is far from impressed when Darrin refuses to let Samantha attend a witches Halloween party with her and makes plans to make him pay for his stubborn refusal.

It's that time of the year on the magical calendar again. Halloween has arrived and Endora and Samantha have both been invited to attend a special party for witches only, but Darrin, with his usual dislike of anything to do with magic, refuses to allow Samantha to go. Needless to say, Endora is absolutely furious and vows that her son-in-law will pay for his stubborness.

With revenge in mind, Endora decides to use a spell on Darrin which slowly but surely turns him into a werewolf, complete with masses of hair, talon-like fingernails and extremely sharp teeth, not to mention an inability to make himself understood when he speaks. On top of this, Endora changes herself into a young child, (played by Maureen McCormick from 'The Brady Bunch') and does some Trick or Treating in order to have more fun at Darrin's expense.

Things go from bad to worse as Darrin's werewolf transformation causes him all sorts of problems in front of others who are, to say the least, quite alarmed!

Almost all television shows have Halloween episodes and this is certainly one worth watching, especially as Agnes Moorehead is at her best here as the ever-scheming, yet charming Endora.moreless

Halloween. What happens on Halloween? Witches become particularly active and fly on their brooms, right? Wrong. They go to sacred volcanoes to get away from all that.

"Bewitched" took an interesting approach to Halloween. Instead of loving it, the witches hated the holiday because there was a belief that ugly hags in black pointed hats came out to scare people. According to the show, witches are nice, beautiful women.

"Trick or Treat" wanted to give a nice Halloween feel without making witches evil. They decided to include a werewolfDarrin. Maureen McCormick does not make the best Endora, but she's okay. A show about witches seems to be a good choice for Halloween, but it becomes an excellent choice when it is about witches on Halloween, experimenting with lycanthropy. Darrin's vicious rage under the full moon makes this a wonderful Halloween show.

    As Endora says, "Happy Halloween!"moreless

Darrin: I'm sorry, but it's the bag or nothing. Little Endora: No dice. I'm going to have to trick you. Darrin: (friendly) Go ahead, trick me. Little Endora: (casts the spell) You're tricked. You'd better watch out. Darrin: (smiles) I'm not worried. I've been tricked by experts. Edit
