The magic phrase used by Darrin in this episode and its prequel was the same one used by Bertha in "The Witches Are Out".
The words of the spell that Darrin is given to use his power, "Zolda Prankan Kopek Lum," were first used by Samantha's friends and Aunt Clara in Season 1's "The Witches Are Out."
This is very similar to the second season episode, "Trick or Treat". In that one, Endora turns Darrin turn into a werewolf for similar reasons.

When Darrin (as a mule) is standing in the kitchen doorway, the close-up shots make it look like the fridge is on the left side of him. It should be on the right.
When the kitchen door opens, the brick wall shows. The first time, shadows of limbs show on the wall. The second time, the limbs themselves show.
When Maurice arrives, there is the usual chest in front of the living room windows. Later it is gone.
In this episode, we learn that not all of Samantha's family is opposed to her marriage to Darrin. In fact, Uncle Arthur is the one of the few members of Sam's family to call Darrin by his correct name.
