  • rather slow

    6.0
A little bit slow, though always interesting to see what types of costumes will be shown, in addition to make up. Sam is wearing a beautiful white dress with a pink flower and pink accents, and the palest of coral shimmer lip gloss.

Despite a very slow intro, which requires Gladys Kravitz, the nosy neighbor, to be not only spy on Sam, but also be the bearer of bad news. Gladys presents to Sam a petition that she remove her willow tree, which everyone has claimed as a menace to the neighborhood, for some silly reason. Apparently, the willow appears to be dead, but was a gift from Darren to Sam at the birth of their child Tabitha.

The rest of the episode has Dr Bombay being summoned from all sorts of various exotic locales, and Sam acting alternatively sad and happy depending on what spell has been cast. Although it is somewhat amusing to see the acting prowess of Liz Montgomery on occasion crying for absolutely no reason except the wind has blown, leaving neighbors and loved ones wondering whether Sam id emotional, and trying to hide it and disguising her true feelings saying she's fine but instead start to cry, leading to hijinx and misunderstandings.moreless
  • Dr. Bombay comes to help a sick tree!

    5.5
When the neighbourhood gets together a petition to make Darrin and Samantha remove a dying willow tree from their front yard, Samantha is very upset by the idea because it was a Mother's Day present from Darrin. She has the idea of calling Dr. Bombay who treats the weeping willow. Thankfully, the tree starts to thrive immediately but Samantha has somehow been caught in the spell and bursts into tears whenever the wind blows. Naturally, this leads people to believe that she and Darrin are having problems. When Dr. Bombay is called again, this time, Samantha can't stop laughing, which makes everybody even more confused.

A pretty weak episode all around caused by a weak script although it's always good to see Dr. Bombay.moreless
