Would Darrin have married Samantha if he had known she was a witch beforehand? Endora doesn't think so.

Endora is still as unimpressed with her mortal son-in-law as she ever was and Samantha still defends Darrin as much as she ever did. When the question arises as to whether Darrin would have still gone ahead with the wedding if he had known his girlfriend was a witch, Endora sends both of them back in time to find out the answer.

Some very amusing moments occur as we see how it WOULD have been if Darrin had found out about Samantha's true self before they tied the knot. This episode has plenty of hilarity and several thought-provoking moments too as we see things through Darrin's eyes. Needless to say, Endora is NOT thrilled when she finds that Darrin wouldhave married her daughter in spite of everything.moreless

- Samantha turns back time in episode 17, but this is the very first time travel episode for Bewitched, a plot device used numerous times later, as well as on other fantasy TV shows, such as Dark Shadows and I Dream of Jeannie. I Dream of Jeannie beat Bewitched to the punch with a 1965 episode in which Tony and Jeannie return to ancient Babylon.
