EDIT
After Darrin refuses to let Sam go to a wedding in Egypt, Darrin has problems with his newest account. Larry helps Darrin out by hiring an assistant named Gideon Whitsett. Endora had warned Darrin that he was going to get into a heap of trouble, and Darrin believes that Gideon is a warlock sent by her to make him fail. 3.5
Endora, (Agnes Moorehead) who has not liked her mortal son-in-law from the very beginning, likes him even less when he refuses to let Samantha attend a family wedding in Egypt without him. Sam merely shrugs and accepts his decisions but, predictably, Endora will do nothing of the sort.

Meanwhile, at the offices of McMahon and Tate, Darrin is in a little over his head and so his boss, Larry Tate, (David White) hires him a young and enthusiastic new assistant named Gideon Whitsett. (Jonathan Daly) At first, Gideon appears to be exactly what Darrin needs to help him around the office but soon, it's clear that Gideon, a highly ambitious young man, wants nothing more than to steal Darrin's ideas and present them as his own while sabotaging Darrin's own presentations.

Furious, Darrin believes that Gideon is a Warlock who is bent on his (Darrin's) destruction, after remembering Endora's ominous threat but Sam, through the use of a small spell of her own, is able to prove that Gideon is not a Warlock, and has not been sent by Endora, but is simply a power-hungry young man who will do anything he has to to reach the top.

A very dull episode, in spite of the usual talent displayed by Montgomery, York and Moorehead. Look out for a small role by Peggy Lipton ("The Mod Squad" and "Twin Peaks".moreless
