Segment 1: Rock & Roll Ears
Lionel is a music shop owner and a former rock star. All of the loud music over a prolonged period of time left Lionel hard of hearing. One day two teenage boys go into the shop. One of the boys tries out a guitar and tells Lionel he doesn't know anything about rock and roll. Lionel then asks if he can have the guitar, in order to demonstrate his expertise. As he is playing the two teens are in awe of his excellence. When he finishes he tells them he learned to play that way from Jimi Hendrix. As the two boys are leaving one of them stumbles backward into a drum set. Lionel says, "Maybe you should play the drums." They run out of the store, embarrassed. Pride gets the best of the one who stumbled into the drum set, so he plans his revenge. At night the two are staked outside the music shop. One says to the other, "We're going to take what's left of his hearing." They set up a huge amplifier outside the door. As Lionel closes shop and opens the door he sees it. They then turn up the volume. It exceeds Lionel's comfort level, so he covers his ears. They steadily increase the volume until the windows of the shop break as a result of the extreme decibel level. Lionel falls to the floor and both of his hearing aids have an electrical shock. Lionel then passes out. The boys go into the store. One of them thinks Lionel is dead and feels sorry for him. The other one yells, "He's not dead, he's just deaf. Isn't that right, old man?" Lionel awakens and says, "You don't have to yell, I can hear just fine." He starts laughing and the two boys leave.

Segment 2: "The Bucket"
young farm family receives their weekly milk shipment from Gus, their elderly neighbor. The following week after a storm, the empty milk bucket starts moving on its own and later the lid flies off twice. The husband takes the bucket to Gus Hob's farm and finds him suffering from a stroke.

Segment 3: "The Bridesmaid"
Lucy Robbins, always a bridesmaid, takes in her sister after the brother-in-law dies in a boat accident. Cory, Lucy's new cyber boyfriend turns out to be Alan, her brother-in-law who actually has been suffering memory loss for the previous six months.

Segment 4: "Voice from the Grave"
A doctor's wife starts channeling a nurse friend, who was murdered in the hospital boiler room. The cop and the wife (channeling the decreased Lisa) trick the guilty orderly into confessing.

Segment 5: "The Chess Game"
Two friends would always play chess and they would always fuss about everything. One day, one of the friends die. Then the other friend seems bored, his wife asks him to play a chess game, he accepts. All of a sudden, he smells "Old Rum", the same kind of cologne that his friend would use, then as the one friend plays his usual move, the chess piece moves the same way that his old friend was playing. Then after that, everything is back to normal. The wife would always sweep up the front while the 2 (yes, 2) friends play their usual game.

  • Great Episode

    8.2
I thought that this episode was a very good one. Out of the 5 stories in this one I liked them all except for the second one with the old man and the milk bucket. I liked the other stories because I thought that they were acted out better and the second story to me seemed much brighter than the other stories. Also I had seen the fourth story on Unsolved Mysteries. Out of the stories I liked my favorite was probably the last one because the old man got to play wih his dead friend. Overall this was a great episode.moreless
