Episode Summary

In the fourth live show of the season, host Julie Chen reveals some surprising news: one evicted houseguest will be brought back into the game, determined by an America's Choice vote. The winner of the vote will be revealed live next Thursday, just as one person will be evicted. Later on in this episode, Kaysar is evicted from the house with a nearly-unanimous vote, and Howie seeks to carry out his alliance with "King Kaysar" with his newfound Head of Household power, dethroning Maggie. The power in the Big Brother house has shifted drastically again.moreless

  • Ahh. This is what I watch Big Brother for. The tension, the drama, and most importantly, the hilarity.

Ahh. This is what I watch Big Brother for. The tension, the drama, and most importantly, the hilarity. Maggie made a very strategic choice this week that guaranteed her a way to get rid of a least one of her enemies. What she didn't expect was that Big Brother is always countering the best of moves. The surprise revealed tonight was that per America's Choice, one houseguest will be coming back next week. I knew as soon as Julie said that, Maggie knew in her heart Eric would be coming back. I have to say that is doubtful. The HOH this week was very quick to make time for Julie's surprise announcement. I'm glad someone from Kaysar's team won, but who will Howie pick? As usual, this episode leaves us wanting more, but still satisfies our desire to watch the human beings verbally attack each other. Overall, I deem it a sucess.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • During the weekly houseguest Q&A, Julie asks Jennifer what she would do if she won the one million dollar prize. Jennifer says that since she is not allowed to share the money with April, her partner, she would donate some to charity and use some for personal reasons. This is one of the first times where the "conspiring to share the money" rule has ever been mentioned in Big Brother.

    • Julie Chen narrates a special segment focusing on the romance between James and Sarah, and show clips of interviews with the couple's families. James' mom and sister, Linda and Desiree, spill about James' religious beliefs and home life, and Sarah's parents, James and Mary, talk about their trust in James. Earlier in the episode, Julie introduces a segment about how Eric's eviction is still having an effect on the game, and how Eric's former alliance, now called "The Friendship," is annoying the other players.

    • Seven of the eight voting players vote to evict Kaysar from the house this week. Only one person votes to send home Janelle.

  • QUOTES (10)

  • NOTES (3)

    • Julie Chen reveals the next big twist of this "Summer of the Secrets" – one of the now-evicted players will be brought back into the game next week. Of the four houseguests who have been sent home, (only three, Michael, Eric, and Kaysar, are eligible - Ashlea has already left for home), the home viewers will be able to vote one back into the Big Brother house, making them still eligible to play the game. This vote will be the first "America's Choice" vote of the year. Viewers can vote for their favorite houseguest to return HERE . Voting ends Wednesday.

    • Kaysar is evicted from the Big Brother 6 house, becoming the fourth player to leave the game. His picture fades to black and white, joining those of Ashlea, Michael, and Eric. Janelle, fellow nominee, is kept safe.

    • Howie wins the Head of Household competition this week, resulting in another power shift between the two sides. The game, "Eliminator," is played by Host Julie Chen asking the players eligible to participate (not including Maggie, outgoing HoH) simple questions about the challenges so far. Whoever buzzes in first and answers the question correctly is able to eliminate one of the other players, taking them out of the running for HoH. Sarah gets the first question right, eliminating Jennifer, Ivette takes out James, Janelle buzzes in and gets the question wrong, eliminating herself, Sarah returns Ivette's favor, Howie axes Beau, Rachel gets rid of April, and then votes out Sarah. Howie answers the last question correctly, eliminating Rachel and making him the new Head of Household.
