The characters of Big Love are not your typical good guys. They are murderers, liars, con-artists and polygamists, but yet their lifestyle is so intriguing and this show is just impossible to stop watching. The fact that it got nominated for Outstanding Drama Series should come as no surprise to long-time fans of the show. Big Love truly is like nothing else seen before on TV and the strong ensemble is practically unmatched outside of shows like Damages, Dexter etc.

While not as good as this season's first two offerings the show is just so very addictive and I cannot wait for the next episode.moreless

Every story line here was very intriguing and packed with high octane action. From Wanda trying to drown herself to the explosive scene with Lois trying to kill her husband. We've got so much antagonists, too much to count. Is anyone in love with Rhonda? You love to hate her with her pathological lying and her constant manipulation. Looking forward to see what the writers have in store for her this season. A prom episode is a bit unexpected for Big Love but honestly it was just what the show needed, and I'm sure it satisfied the younger viewers with Ben & Sarah going to prom. Watching Rhonda chase the limo was just an amazing scene, as was the picture between Ben & Sarah. This was just perfect development in the Sarah being pregnant story line. Ben finding out, just a great scene. Margene's mother dying, Nikki finding out that Kathy played a part in Roman's trial and we learn that Nikki was sealed when she was 15. Another great scene was Margene flying off the handle at the family memorial for her dead mother. Margene continues to be the comic relief for this show, so was Wanda. Overall a perfect episode, even though I could have done without the Ana drama. We've been getting a bit of an overload of her lately, but I can't wait for the next episode, I'm hooked on this show!moreless
  • The skeletons are shaking out!

WHo doesn't have a skelton in their closet on this show? (Beware I may be giving away some things to those who have not watched yet)

This is one of the finest episodes yet of Big Love. Not just in the secrets revealed but in the facial expressions and mannerisms of those affeected.

Where do I begin? Where...do I begin? We find out that Nikki (by far my favorite sister-wife even if she is a bit selfish) was married to a man when she was 15 but Roman finally gave in and allowed her out of it. But we do learn that Roman did not give this courtesy to others. Specifically Kathy who is supposed to testify against Roman. Nikki is in a pickle because she can sympathize with Kathy and it pains her because it goes against her father.

How about Lois wanting to do in Frank, an s-o-b that deserves it more than anyone. But as sour as she is and as much as she hates Frank, she can't go through with it.

RHonda on the other hand continues to be a conniving temptress and she deserves whatever she gets from Roman. First she tries to coax Bill to marry her, then tries to extort money from ROman. What a naive little mynx. I pity the fool that takes up with her in the end.

Everything in this episode was meaningful, not a shred of filler. We get background on Margine's mom, a little family history with Barb's family, Ana's feelings spelled out and we watch all of this and we realize one thing....that everything here is related to the family and how close-knit they really are. I only hope that this family is tight enough to support one who is with child.moreless
  • Best I have seen so far!

'Prom Queen' was the best episode of BL I have seen so far. I have to give kudos to Chloe Sevigny, Grace Zabriski, and Melora Walters. I was moved to tears durling their scenes. I thought Lois would surely do old Frank in last night. He pushed all of the wrong buttons as usual and pushed Lois right to the edge. I cant think of one redeeming quality about Frank, he seems to relish torturing Lois. Wanda was great, as usual. When she asked Joey if he loved Kathy more than he loved her I was in tears. And then when she revealed that Nicki was forced into marriage at 15 by Roman....wow. Nicki had obviously buried this secret and never thought it would come to light. I think it devastated her and when she saw her picture in the joybook, it broke my heart for her. I think it finally made her face what a horrible thing her father had done to her and the other women of the compound. I expect a change in her in the coming episodes in regards to Roman. I was shocked that Rhonda went to Roman expecting to get paid off, has she learned NOTHING? The only thing "sealed" about her is her fate. I was also a bit shocked that Barb is completely behind Ana and even defended her to Bill. We may see her become 4th wife after all. At any rate, I am looking forward to the rest of this season.moreless
