Big Love

Another explosive episode of Big Love. This season has really impressed me, and I wouldn't be surprised if the next episode and the season finale were only better. Big Love's slow burning style pays off yet again with Wray getting caught in the middle of the Henricksons family drama. When he found out that Nikki wasn't who she said she was, it was just such an intense scene. When Barb said what her name was, and Wray walked away, I really could not stop laughing. The whole scenes was utter perfection. I'm also glad they didn't really focus this episode too much on Kathy's death considering she was as unimportant as Ana when it came to the characters. Joey's breakdown, wow, great acting. This show is just getting better & better, and this is definitely the best season yet.



The Greens return did not disappoint with them trying to kill Bill. Sarah bakes a cake to get over her miscarriage, oh and Margene was great, but what else is new? I'm just so satisfied with this show right now, easily is becoming one of the best dramas on television.

Seriously, how good is this show? There really is never a bad episode of this show and the 55-58 minute run time often flies by (even though I think this ep was a little shorter than usual). The only show I can think of that is close to as consistently good is Damages, which is ironic as Zeljko Ivanek, who played Ray Fiske on that show, appeared in this episode. He had the same eerie presence that all of his characters have, and I just wish he got more screen time.



I think we are all hoping that Nicki and Bill can work things out and get back together, but who knows.

I find myself wondering yet again where to begin with this review. The episode was outstanding. Everyone is busy getting ready for Kathys funeral. Joey is less about mourning and more about revenge, and who can blame him? He thinks Roman is to blame and he is right. I can't believe Roman even showed up for the funeral. The nerve! And Adaleen now knows what Romans part was in Kathys death...and even admitted as much when Joey confronted her in her hotel room. Adaleen makes no excuses for Roman save to say "He's my husband!". Joey rightly told her that is "her cross to bear." On the homefront, Nicki's gig is UP. Bill went to Ray asking him to help throw the book at Roman for Kathys death. He also told Ray that he has a personal stake in all of this since he is married to Nicolette Grant. That would have been all fine and well except Ray went to see Margene (Nicki) at her house and all of the beans get spilled. Ray is furious at Nicki and Bill is too. Everyone now knows Nickis secrets and she has no one to run to. So....she runs to Alby who welcomes her with open door, if not open arms. I cannot wait to see what happens next. Barb is about to come under fire from her old ward (temple) since Cindy went to the Bishop and told him about the life Barb leads. Only 2 episodes left....and so much to wrap up!
