A superb penultimate episode of Big Love. This episode was wildly eventful as was the past few episodes. We got so much great scenes here. This show has proved to be addicting before, but man, you don't know anything about addicting until you watch this episode. All the characters got to shine in their own way. From Heather & Sarah's reaction to Rhonda, which pretty much is perfect buildup for the season finale I assume since things are left up in the air. All the wives also shine in this episode with the will which by the way was a genius story line.

The wives arguing over which one of them gets their kids... only on Big Love, I'm telling you. One of my favorite scenes was definitely Marge & Nikki catching Ben making out with his girlfriend. Marge fainting, wow, we got perfect buildup with her doing yard work throughout the episode. Nikki's reaction to her being pregnant! Just a great cliffhanger all around.

Great penultimate episode of Big Love.moreless

With a lot of shows the penultimate episode (that is second to last for you unaware) is the best of the year, but such was not the case with tonight's installment of HBO drama series Big Love. The episode was far from boring, but it did feature some of the show's trademark clever and witty dialogue and a lot more of the devious and diabolical (but highly entertaining to the audience) Roman Grant than usual episodes contain, so that was a plus.

If you haven't read some of my reviews, I'll say for the 50th time that this may be the most addictive show on TV today. I just can't stop watching it.moreless

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • Nitpick: When the Henrickson family makes out new wills, Barbara distributes the wills to Nicki and Margene, and says, "Just sign yours, and Bill will put them in the safe deposit box." Unless a will is in the individual's own handwriting, all states have some requirement about the signature being witnessed. The other wives, as beneficiaries under the will, cannot serve as witnesses. Merely signing the wills without valid witnesses would result in invalid wills. The family attorney also should not have disclosed to Bill that the wives had been in to change their wills. Instead, once he realized that the four were not in 100% agreement, the ethical rules of his bar association would have required him to refer them to individual independent attorneys.

  • QUOTES (6)

    • Rhonda: Adaleen, did you take your vitamins?
      Adaleen: Yes.
      Rhonda: Cause you forget.
      Adaleen: Well, I didn't.
      (Rhonda leaves the room.)
Nicolette: I don't know how you deal with her.
Adaleen: I love her and we are all equals. But, last night, I did dream I was trying to push her out the car door while driving along at a pretty quick clip.

    • Margie: (about Ben and Brynne) They were kissing behind the track. (whispering) Really kissing.

    • Margie: (to Barb and Nicki) I'm happy. I love you both so much.
Nicki: You're overheated. Put on a hat.

    • Ernest Holloway: (about the UEB Council) They also talked about negotiating a contract with NASA to sell clay from one of the mines we own in Moab for the heat shields on the shuttle.
Bill: They don't believe we even went to the moon and yet they're in business with the agency that didn't go there.

    • Barb: I do not want the kids to go to the compound!
Nicki: All the kids or just your kids?
Barb: Any kids and certainly not mine. And mine include yours!

    • Governor's Aide: Your charity work was important, to be sure, but truthfully it was your cancer that sealed the deal. The first lady is trying to shine a light on survivorship this year. You and your fellow finalists are all survivors.
      Barb: So many people are.
Governor's Aide: True, but most are merely tumors. Luckily for you, yours had metastasized.
