This show is amazing!  In every episode I see a piece of me, but just a small piece.  My mom and sister made me start watching because they are worried about me. WHATEVER!!!!

You only live once and as a single mom with no hope of EVER meeting some guy who will......I havn't had intimate contact in so long that I had to figure out how to get that loving feeling.  Who knew shopping would replace a man. In the past I would eat and eat and eat when I was feeling fatal, now I shop.  I don't think I am that bad off, am I? Besides being fatter and needing another avenue to release my daphamines and dopamines.   I mean how do you know, what determines your breaking point.  Isn't everyone credit poor, whats that mean?  Aren't you suppose to be if you own a home and make payments on stuff?

Anyway, GREAT SHOW! the people are bizzarly funny.

What you aren't thinking about is when you get old. How are you going to make payments when you are too old to work? are you going to be broke and so can't afford to do anything except sit around the house and look at all the crap you bought or are you going to get out of debt, save and be able to live a better life? Most Americans are very short sighted. They aren't planning for a future. They aren't planning for life events that change your life. What if you are injured and can't work? Get sick? To answer your question, NO, everyone isn't credit poor. Only the idiots are.

I can so relate to the single mom's post.  I am in a similar quandry and have no idea how to get out of this mess.

My husband and I stayed at home for three months doing virtually nothing outside the house and made bulk payments on our credit cards and the car. All are paid off now.

Social security may not be there when it's time to retire. It's vital that debt be paid and that money be saved for the future. My mother had to work for the first time in her life when my dad left her with five kids to raise. I know it's hard, but....

You will feel so much better once you are out of debt. And who says no one will marry a mother with a child? There are plenty of men who do. They may not want to marry a woman with a lot of debt that they will have to handle, though. I urge you to consider your future and the legacy you leave your child. Healthy spending habits start young and they learn by their parents' example.

See a financial advisor or read one of Dave Ramsey's books on clearing debt. They are very good and will help you see money in the right perspective.

Don't be a slave to your money anymore. You should control it, not the other way around. When in debt, money controls you.
