  • This episode is very loosely a crossover to the 1990 sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air". Alfonso Rebeiro (a.k.a. Carlton Banks) guest stars in this episode.

When the paparazzi keep taking pictures of the BTR gang wherever they go, Gustavo decides to move the boys to Bel-Air where they can be safe from the paparazzi. When the boys move into Bel-Air, they enjoy it and it's paradise for them but later on something goes wrong which makes the gang want to move back to the Palm Woods. I thought that this was a great episode of "Big Time Rush". Not the best episode I've ever seen and I didn't laugh much here but it was overall a highly enjoyable. This episode is VERY LOOSELY a crossover to the 1990 sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air".... you know the hilarious sitcom that starred Will Smith, Alfonso Rebeiro (who guest stars in this episode by the way), James Avery, and many more talented actors/actresses in that show. You got to be crazy if you've never heard of that show. Sorry folks, Will Smith and the other cast did NOT make an appearance in this episode which makes a loosely crossover. The only cast member from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" that guest starred in this episode was Alfonso Rebeiro who had the role of Carlton Banks. Now the guide says that he still plays as Carlton Banks in this episode but whenever Alfonso Rebeiro (again, Carlton Banks) introduced himself to the BTR gang, he didn't really say his name and said a completely different name. I don't know but it was good to see Alfonso Rebeirdo again after so long. He has the same voice and looks the same... the only difference is that he does look a little more chubbier but yeah. On the other hand, I had no freakin' idea who Rachel Crow is though. When the promo said "Guest Star Rachel Crow"... I said to myself "Who the heck is she?" so yeah, NEVER heard of her but I guess she was alright here in this episode. My score is a little low because I though Rachel Crow's character as BTR's #1 crazy fan was getting on my nerves after a while and didn't find her funny at all except for maybe one part which I will mention in a little bit. The episode also gets kinda boring in some parts and I got kinda annoyed that security NOT letting Gustavo and Kelly in plus the parazzi taking pictures of BTR and chasing them around was a little boring and not funny as well. On the plus side, there were parts that made me laugh (even though I didn't laugh much here) such as Fabio getting attacked by that tiger when he was trying to get the lemon that Katie threw over the hedge, BTR's #1 crazy fan stopping Alfonso Rebeiro (a.k.a. Carlton Banks) from catching up to BTR towards the end of the episode (the way Alfonso screamed in that scene was hilarious), Gustavo driving the moving truck and busting through the gates to help the boys escape from Bel-Air when they weren't allowed to move out of Bel-Air, and maybe one or two more parts. It was also awesome to see Fabio make his third appearance in this show. First appearance was in the Season 1 episode "Big Time Dance". Second appearance was in the Season 2 episode "Big Time Christmas". AND now third appearance was the Season 3 episode "Bel Air Rush" so we has made an appearance in one episode each season which was cool. He was overall enjoyable character and him trying to stop Katie's lemonade stand was entertaining to watch. Alfonso Rebeiro also made a very well done and enjoyable guest star appearance in this episode which I really enjoyed. One of my favorite parts of the episode was MOST DEFINITELY the parody of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song that the BTR gang were singing a little over the beginning of the episode and I found it to be quite humorous too. The storyline, while predictable and kinda boring, was handled very well for the most part. I enjoyed the premise of the episode and I really enjoyed how it was kinda a crossover to "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" except it was only Alfonso Rebeiro that made an appearance in this episode. I do recommend seeing this episode and it's a lot of fun to watch. Overall, it ain't my favorite but I enjoyed it a lot and if Nickelodeon re-runs this episode and I'm watching television at that time then I'm most likely and most certainly am gonna watch this episode again.... a great episode of "Big Time Rush". 8.5/10moreless
