Lori says that nothing as cool as the werewolf happens in "our town". Since her school IS in the same town, the script should have been "our school".
Tommy: (voiceover) I know my standard of what's normal is a little different from most people's, but, I gotta admit, I don't meet girls like Lori every day.
Merton: Just cause he looks nasty, doesn't necessarily mean he's evil. I mean, Bronco may be like one of the ghosts in The Sixth Sense, featuring Bruce Willis playing against type as a pensive child psychologist. Lori: Well, what happened? Merton: Well, after Die Hard, it was hard for Willis to shake his blue collar appeal. Tommy: What happened in the movie?! He does this all the time. Merton: Well, a boy is plagued by horrific-looking ghosts and he's scared of 'em, like you are, but then he realizes he just has to fix a problem they had before they died.
Tommy: (voiceover) Lori and I may have figured out that there was a real live ghost after me, but that didn't mean we knew what to do about it. Which is why we went to the only person I knew who would. Merton: Oh, yeah! It's a ghost! A noncorporeal, partially photosensitive plane-hopper.
Merton: Give it up, Tommy. Stacey's gone, and she's never coming back. Tommy: Merton. She's not dead. She just went to college early. Merton: Yeah, she, you know, left two months ago and hasn't written or called. Diagnosis: dumped! And anyway, you said you were over her. Tommy: I am...sort of. Merton: Look, if you really wanna get over her, okay, you need a diversion. (Tommy growls at the passing Plesantville Catholic players) Merton: No, not the Catholic football players. Come on. A female diversion. (indicating Lori) Take yon school girl, an unspoiled portrait of purity. Note the uniform, mmm. Pleated with care and cut to dance above the silky kneecaps of sweet innocent lasses. (Lori grabs Merton by his shirt and pushes him against a locker) Lori: You were saying something about sweet innocent lasses?
Rachelle Lefevre left the show after the first season to pursue college just as her character, Stacey, did.
Stacey has left for college early. Tommy finally removes her picture from his locker after his first meeting with Lori.
Pleasantville has another co-ed high school: Pleasantville Catholic.
Merton's name is Welsh.
When Tommy wolfs out on the football field, only his face transforms.
