Leonard Nimoy: Spock and Beyond.
Profile of the actor who achieved worldwide popularity with his "Mr. Spock" role in "Star Trek". Looks at his other many achievements as film director, stage actor, and even poet.
Most of this show is devoted to a soliloquy by Nimoy in front of an appearent bluescreen. Even for 1986 this special was not spectacular. In fact it looks cheap. The archive footage shown from the original Star Trek series are some of the poorest transfers I've ever seen of the particular program.
Although I'm sure its a must see (and probably a has-seen) for any true hardcore fan of classic Trek, no one not avid about the show would be able to sit through it. If you are a fan of the later series (Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, Enterprise) don't expect much out of this program. It was made well before those shows aired.moreless
