If this is true, which I think it is, it's not a surprise at all.

Not a surprise at all, the writing was weak IMO, after only a few episodes the events and actions were pretty generic and were nothing to make the show special.

Poor writing, weak plots, lack of character development.

The pilot was the first and last decent episode, went downhill after that IMO.

That's the worst news I've heard in a while, what a shame.

It didn't get a chance to get close to its potential.

Way too expensive for Sci Fi to pick up. BattleStar Galactica is probably Sci Fi's most expensive show and it gets barely over 2M viewers a week. The producers would have to slash the budget and the show would probably get fewer episodes ordered.

The rest of the BSG ep's are in the can already (this is the last season coming up). SciFi needs a replacement (other then SG:A) so I wouldnt be too suprised if it is picked up by SciFi (NBC is owned by the same company)

It would be nice if Sci-Fi picked it up! As somtimes, shows like that do good on cable.

All I know is I hate the writers for their stupid striking. I think they should make a law that no writers of shows in their pilot seasons should be allowed to strike - so many shows have been killed this way.

Not true, BSG only has 10 or 11 out of 20 episodes in the can.

I do agree that Sci Fi needs more original programming. But the strike needs to end 1st before anything can happen.

This sucks. But I'll admit that the Pilot was the only fantastic episode. That might mean I'll end up buying the DVD... cause I just loved the Pilot.
