This was a really good show it isnt even too old...

It has over 100 episodes, a huge feat for a British TV show, so why does noone track it? Why is it not known by anyone?

Noone posts here or tracks the show so I'm not holding my breath for a response, I was just curious, that's all.

I absolutely love the show and still watch it all the time. I find the show is totally underrated and deserves more recognition...

I am also a BIG fan of this show. I live in Canada and about 5 years ago they had most of the series on TV, but I cannot seem to find any DVD's or videos of the episodes. I would love to find out where I might be able to buy the series if available on DVD or video. Do any of you know if they are available?

One of you mentioned that you watch it all the time. How? and Where?

    Thanks,

    Britmum

They only sell series one on DVD. There are also about four videos which each feather 4 or 5 episodes from the first few series on them.

I had them on vhs and recorded them all onto dvd. So i have from series 1-9 on dvd.

Lucky! I hope they come out with Seasons 2-9 eventually. I'd say they would- everything comes out eventually.

I've been following the new series 10 episodes and found them to be worthwhile. As a guy who used to watch the entire series back in the day semi-faithfully, I was a bit surprised at how easily the gang fell right back into their characters after more than a decade. By the time it stopped airing in eternal repeats "over here", I was watching more out of habit than out of any great love for the show. I think it was just refreshing enough to have a sitcom about women that never diverted into the usual romantic thread for the sake of a storyline. Plus, there was that familiar siblings / sisters dynamic that rang so true to life on Birds of a Feather.

I guess it was never a huge personal favorite yet it managed to become a sentimental one along the way. As for why it gets so little attention, I think it, sadly, has to do with the down-market subject matter and the ages of the leads. People would rather watch younger starlets doing more vapid nonsense on a regular basis. It's an unattractive truth, perhaps.
