  • A new villain is in Gotham and he is extremely dangerous. With a touch he turns his victims into clay statues. The Birds race to find an antidote and Huntress goes to visit Clayface in Arkham only to get more than she bargained for.

This is the better half of the final episode/episodes. We get to see Wade and Barbara reach a trust level in their relationship with Alfred's help that is surprising for a super hero. Reese and Helena get together as well in the literal sense as she finally breaks her own barriers and lets him in after revealing herself to him.

It is interesting that they created a son for Clayface. I am not sure where and when this would have happened but it was a good character to build on and a dangerous one as well. Clayface was one of the more ignored characters and the part with Helena's Mom was a barn burner.

It was inevitable that Helena's persona would be revealed to the public as the most notorious criminals seek the limelight and someone eventually was going to expose her. Harley seemed to take this all in stride as if nothing really surprises her.

I think it is interesting that the one main thing that separates the vigilante super hero from the vigilante criminal is that the super hero does not kill unless absolutely necessary. Therefore the trouble always seems to come back to haunt them among many other things. I guess that comes with being the good guys.

Dinah's character has reach a maturation point where she is an able ally in all circumstances and really she is sort of the glue that holds the other two women together. It is interesting to see that change in the dynamic overall.

Again this is a pretty good ending to the first part of the finale. Thanks for reading...
