  • Taiwan is NOT a part of China.

I just wanted to let everyone know that Taiwan is NOT a part of China. Someone said that in the summary or something that this is the 3rd time he's been in china, citing his trip to Taiwan as "china" when in fact, it is not. Taiwanese are very adament about making sure that people know that they are NOT a part of China. It needs to be changed but I do not have high enough level to edit it. Because in reality, this is only his 2nd time to China. China might want to think that Taiwan is a part of China but it's kind of its own little country.moreless

  • TRIVIA (0)

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Andrew: Frog legs, hairy crabs, jellyfish salad... that's a mouth-watering meal, if it doesn't escape first.

    • Andrew: You got to love a bag that's moving; that means dinner's going to be good!

    • Andrew: They don't skimp on the ingredients here. I like that. Usually, when you have a worm omelet, they don't put enough worms in them for me. This one, plenty of worms.

    • Andrew: There's an old Cantonese saying that if it walks, flies, swims or crawls with its back to heaven; it must be edible. Suckling pig, turtle soup, pigeon, scorpion--you almost don't know where to begin.

  • NOTES (4)

    • While visiting Guangzhou, Andrew also went to a quaint teahouse for chrysanthemum tea and dessert. The footage was cut from the broadcast episode.

    • This is Andrew's third trip to China. He visited the island of Taiwan in Episode #10 and Beijing in Episode #15.

    • Andrrew re-examines suckling pig; he had it in Spain (Episode #4). He also briefly mentions balut from the Philippines (Episode #1).
