In the end credits, a special thanks is given to: Jim Harlan, Horizon Tours, and Kitty Morse.
Andrew uses one of his catch phrases about k'lia-- that it's "an acquired taste", rather than saying he hates it.
Andrew: Who knows what I'll eat next? Haggis in Scotland? Balut in the Phillippines? Who knows? You know what I say, if it looks good, eat it!
Andrew: Mystery meat and omalou... breakfast of champions.
Andrew: I can't help myself. I spot a plate of poached brains, and I go for one last taste.
Andrew: You know what I always say-- if you're looking for something funky to eat, head to the seashore.
Andrew (on k'lia before tasting it): Putrid meat with eggs, I love it!
Andrew (on k'lia after tasting it): Oh my gosh. That is really strong. The smell through my nose is of rotted meat. There is no amount of visiting some of the most hellacious and foul-smelling places on Earth, and trust me I've been there that matches up with getting your face up close and personal with a little k'lia for breakfast. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can. (takes another bite) Oh my god. (slaps his own head rapidly, trying to swallow) Thank god there's some sort of chicken egg in there to sort of soften the blow. Oh my lord. (begins gulping out of his water bottle)
Andrew (holding a snake): One of the four most deadly snakes in the world, and there's not a good grill anywhere in sight. If you mess with me, I'll eat you.

Series Producer -- Tracy Morgan
Originally, Andrew was scheduled to eat with a group of traveling bedouins. They were going to prepare grilled camel meat and have a cook-out. Unfortunately, a sandstorm ruined their camp. Andrew couldn't find any other suitable camel meat for the show, so he and the producers moved on to their next location.
When trying the k'lia, Andrew slaps his his head and mugs just like Curly Howard did when he tried oyster soup in a Three Stooges short. Larry, Curly and Moe, better known as the Three Stooges, were very famous slapstick comedians with a long history in vaudeville, television and movies (1925-1959).
After reporting he is close to where Russell Crowe filmed the movie, Gladiator, Andrew gives himself the gladiator name, Stomachus Maximus. Crowe's name in the movie was Maximus Decimus Meridius.
