This is the first time we see Andrew unable to eat something. He takes a bite of the stinky tofu in the House of Unique Stink and can not swallow it. He manages to swallow a bite of the second dish (raw stinky tofu with 1,000 year old eggs). He congratulates the chef (Ms. Wu) for making the only food that beats him.
Andrew: I feel like an ingredient in one of those soup bowls we saw at the market! (Andrew while experiencing a hot steam bath)
Andrew: What's next on my plate? Who knows? Grilled snake meat in Vietnam? Mosquito eggs in Mexico? Just remember... If it looks good, eat it!
Andrew: You better put a lid on that, there's children in the market. (to a Taipei Market hostess about pigeon eggs)
Andrew: Unique... that's code for weird.
Andrew: I'm instantaneosly suspicious of any food that's good for my manhood!
(While eating the white and black rooster testicle soup)
Andrew: They are extremely creamy. It's like having milk Jello inside of a paper thin balloon membrane and the moment you put any tooth pressure at all, the whole thing just explodes in your mouth.
Andrew: Like a lot of the world's most inconceivably strange foods, it looks, sounds and smells a lot worse than it tastes. This is delicious.
Andrew: Hot, griddled stinky tofu; skewered, rubbed with spices, split open and stuffed with fermented cabbage is a delicacy here. And, it's sold at 1, 2, 3 different street stalls--all on the same corner. You know my rule of thumb, always go where the line is longest.
