Doubt it, there as an article in the Times on August 7, 2005, where Bill Bailey insinuated the show received the ax.  But again, who really knows for sure.

Yeah, I find it difficult to believe that they'd bring it back now. But who knows, stranger things have happened. Still, it's hard to see why they would bring it back. It's a great show but it really doesn't have a very large following.

I heard an interview on the radio last year or whatever with Dylan Moran and he said there won't be a season 4 but he was possibly thinking of making a movie or make it into a stage play... but of course he has to talk it over with Tamsin Greig and Bill Bailey!

Ooh! I'd love a couple of movies. And I think the three of them would be brilliant in a stage show. Though of course, it'd suck for me coz there's no way in hell I can afford a holiday in the UK on my dodgy student budget.

I think Dylan said they'd go around the UK, Australia and a few other places if it were to be a stage play!

Wow! I was just browsing this forum (at 10:55pm Melbourne time, on sat 14th april) and EVERYONE on this thread is 'online'. I just thought that was really cool. Hehe.

Oh, and if they did a stage show in australia, i would DEFINITELY go see it. Dylan Moran came back to melbourne this yr for the comedy festival again, but by the time i found out about it, all the shows were sold out!

I agree, Black Books would make an awesome movie... or even like a huge trilogy where they make it as big as Lord Of The Rings.

i dont think they will ever make anything else with black books.i know every1 says it was made by dylan moran ONLY but Graham Linehan(creator of IT Crowd and Father Ted) had an uncredited role in the creation of the show it only ever said he was a writer and as stupid as this sounds, after Father Ted ended due to Dermot Morgans untimely death,he has only ever made tv shows he made only 3 series long its true look at anhy program he created only 3 series and they are always brilliant hes a credit to Irish comedy

Actually "Big Train" (creator) only went for 2 series, he only worked on the first series of Black Books, "Hippies" (co-creator) went for one series...

    That's probably true, but it's a shame...

    Yeah, the best.

When I watch it I have to hold the remote so when I laugh,I can pause it so I don't miss anything!
