Episode Summary

EDIT
A man named Ganza is terrifying the residents of a town, coming out at night and killing people with his bare hands. Two members of the Apostles of the Stars attempt to recruit him to their group, but Ganza refuses, he'd much rather spend his time killing innocent people. Meanwhile, Train and the others learn of Ganza. Train, Sven and Eve come up with a plan to lure out and capture Ganza, but their plan doesn't turn out the way they had hoped.moreless

This episode was kind of confusing. There this guy named Ganza who goes around killing people. And some guys are trying to recruit him into the Apostles of Stars. Sven knows this Ganza guy back from his IBI days and he wants to capture him, so they go around looking for him. Sven ends up dressing as a girl to lure him in. Train and Eve find Ganza and attack him, but he's too strong. Then Train says that he found his weakspot (an injury caused by Sven in his IBI days) So he shoots him there and kills him. The two members of Apostles of Stars reveal themselves to be Chartan and Kyouko. The leader? None other than Creed...

Interesting, the Apostles of Stars lead by Creed, he's probably trying to get rid of the Chronos. Train is shocked that Creed is still alive, something tells me next episode will have them fighting.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (6)

    • Character introductions:
Charden Flamberg - the guy with the tall top hat and the sunglasses. His special ability is to shoot out some sort of blood death attack from his fingers that kills his opponents.

Kyoko Kirisagi - the somewhat spazzy and hyper Japanese schoolgirl who totally fawns over Train, calling him Mr. Black. Her special ability is to manipulate and breathe out fire, and is not afraid to use it.

Both Charden and Kyoko are Apostles of the Stars.

    • In this episode, Sven mentioned the word "fishing". Fishing is a method sweepers use to catch a target. They become a decoy and lure the target out of hiding.

    • When Kyouko asked Train for his name, Train answered "Kuroneko", which literally translates to Black Cat. Kyouko uses "Kuro" as a nickname for Train.

    • After Train rescues Kyouko, she mentions the word "kyun". Kyun is an onomatopoeia for a heart throb.

    • We learn that a bottle of Shinkitou is a drink that awakens the power of Tao.

    • In this episode, we learn that Sven used to be an IBI agent.

  • QUOTES (16)

    • Charden: (to Gyanza) My purpose of coming here wasn't to save you. I only want to witness the end of someone who has the gall to abuse the power I have given them.

    • Kyouko: This is fun! This is just like whack-a-mole!
Sven: Except we're the ones getting hit. There's no choice. Train, do as I say.
Train: I know, hit his right knee, right? After all, I am Number XIII, Black Cat! Just by looking at him, I can tell he had an injury on his right knee.
Sven: Right, the injury I caused when I captured him a long time ago.
      Train: Sounds like it'll work.
Sven: But can you aim your shot at that position?
Train: If you underestimate me any further, you're going to get an earful!
Sven: Good. I'll leave it to you.

    • Train: (To Sven) Yo! You're late! I already defeated him.
Eve: I'm the one who beat him.
Kyouko: Too bad, no more popsicles left.

    • Kyouko: Aw, Kuro-sama is such a shy boy.
Train: I'm not a shy boy.
Kyouko: Oh well, we'll just have to save the kiss for later then. A reward-for-a-good-job popsicle! Gunya gunya-kun!
      Sven: Eh? (blinks)
Kyouko: Milk flavor for Kuro-sama, strawberry for you. And tomato flavor for Kyouko!

    • Gyanza: (To Kyouko) Such a cute face. It probably would get cuter while writhing in pain. I'll bet you'll cry out in a lovely tone.
Train: Stop right there! That's enough, Gyanza. I'm going to capture you.
Kyouko: Wow! You came to rescue me again! I'm positive that the man I'm destined for is Kuro-san!
      Gyanza: A sweeper, huh?
Kyouko: (pretends to be held captive) Please save me Kuro-sama! Kuro-sama, I'm dying! Hurry and save me!
Train: Let go of that girl right now!

    • Sven: What a freak.
Eve: (to Train) The real Sven is much better.
      Train: He's here! (chases Gyanza)
Sven: Train! Wait a minute... (trips)
Train: Sven, I'll meet up with you and the princess later!
      Sven: What? Hey!

    • Drag Queen: (To Sven) My, you look hot, sister! How about working at my place?
Sven: H-H-Hey! Cut it out! Aah! Give me a break! (runs)
Drag Queen: (chases Sven) Come on, there's nothing to be embarrassed about!
Train: (to Eve) Like the rumors say, this place seems to be dangerous, doesn't it?
      Eve: Yes.

    • Sven: Come out, Gyanza. Come out, Gyanza. Come out, Gyanza. Come out... wait a second... Do I look like a woman?
      Train: Boy, you sure do!
      Eve: Cute, cute.

    • Sven: I mean, there ain't no way Eve can be a decoy. After all, I've been living as a gentleman for thirty years. I can't let somebody like Gyanza continue to roam free. Absolutely not! My mother used to say, 'You must take care of women.' Yes, I must protect the women of the world! Gyanza, there's nothing holding me back any longer. As a gentleman... No, as a lady!

    • Eve: Sven, what are you doing?
Sven: I'm intercepting police communication. I'm leaving Train with the investigatory work in front of the station.
Eve: Waste of time. Train is almost back. He's here.
Train: I'm so hungry... No matter how far I go, the shops are all closed.
Sven: Hey Train, did you find anything?
Train: If I found something, I wouldn't be hungry.

    • Kyouko: Darn that Gyanza! Breaking a promise with us really annoys me! (notices her popsicle is melting) Oh no! Gunya Gunya-kun is melting!

    • Charden: You're thirty seconds late.
Kyouko: Please listen to me, Charden-san. I met a wonderful person today. When I was being harassed by some bad people, this really cool guy came and knocked them all out! Huh? My popsicle is gone again!

    • Kyouko: Oh no. I'm going to be late for my appointment. Kuro-sama, my name is Kyouko! If it's okay with you, let's meet again! Oh, my popsicle is gone! Where is it?
      Train: What a noisy woman.

    • Train: It looks like the recent rumors of rising crime levels are true.
(shoves ice cream back into Kyouko's mouth) Most of the shops are closed...
Kyouko: Although the shops are closed, I'm available.
Train: (stares at Kyouko) Let's see, the milk vending machine is...
Kyouko: There aren't any milk vendors, but I'm available.
Train: (stares at Kyouko again) Isn't there some place that sells milk?
Kyouko: Yes, I got it. After all, I'm here. (puckers up)
Train: (Holds a cat in front of Kyouko to kiss)
Kyouko: (Drops ice cream) W-what did you do to me?
Train: That's my line, you know!

    • Sven: Damn, Gyanza! I'm going to catch you before you drink that Shinkitou. (startled) But where did Train go?
      Eve: Gone.
Sven: That guy... The moment you take your eyes off him, he's gone.
Eve: Don't worry. When he gets hungry, he'll be back.

    • Train: (mocking Rins) 'I'll leave it up to you'... Yeah, right! We don't have to help that woman out! Talk about an obnoxious woman!
