RICKY BLADE (Charles Fleischer) is Steve Rafferty's old college hockey buddy. He went on to the pros and is now the star player of the City of Angels' franchise, the Saints. When he refuses to take a bribe from Mayor Worth to fix a game, the Mayor convinces Ricky's teammates to throw the game anyway. His teammates know that the only way to lose is to take Ricky out for good, and a three-man takedown leaves Ricky in a coma. During his hospital stay he subconsciously hears the truth about his "accident."
