Near the end, when the Japanese are overrunning 'England' Peter says, "We'll go down to the beach and escape in the duck". But he doesn't know that Greg was able to appropriate the duck, as far as anyone on England knows, they will be picked up by submarine later in the day. Then when the four are near the beach Jeb hears the engines of the approaching duck. And when they see it Peter yells "They got the duck!" as if he is surprised to see it.
This was the last episode of the season two and the last episode of the series.
I recall reading somewhere that Peter Frampton was a big fan of the show and he really wanted to appear on it. He did not want to cut his hair, so they created a character he could play that did not require him to get a hair cut.
Bobby Boyle: "Your peeper, your blinkers."
Slang from the era is used.
When Elizabeth claims that she's alright as long as she doesn't move her eyes, Boyle says to her. "You say your peepers hurt?" She replies "Peepers?" And he says "Yeah, you know you peepers, your blinkers, your eyes".
