      • The real Black Sheep Squadron flew their first mission on September 14th, 1943 to Ballale. They were escorting Dauntless dive bombers. Edit
      • When Pappy is looking through the files of pilots to be court-martialed, he opens one with the name James F. Gutterman. But when Casey calls roll outside the Officer's Club, he calls for "Gutterman, James W.". I believe that I have seen the "W" given as his middle initial in other places...so I guess officially its "W" but there's a typo in his file. Edit
