The squadron is granted a few days of rest and relaxation at Espiritos Marcos. There Jerry Bragg runs into Annie, an old acquaintance from his home town. She is a nurse that has just been stationed in the South Pacific. He introduces her to the rest of the guys and she seems to have the eye for Larry.

An air raid alarm goes off and while trying to find shelter, Jerry and Annie find themselves drenched by sprinklers. Annie takes Jerry back to her quarters so that they can get dried off. They kiss and Jerry asks to see her again the next night. Annie only agrees to the date if he can find a date for her friend and she suggests Larry. Bragg reluctantly agrees and manages to convince Larry to join him in this double date.moreless

      • Goof: The Universal Newsreel copyright at the episode's beginning is 1939 (MCMXXXIX). This date is incorrect based upon the time frame of the series. It should be 1943 as VMF-214 flew under the command of Major Boyington from August 1943 to January 1944.

      • When the squadron is boarding the transport plane to return to Vella La Cava, security is tight because the MPs are looking for TJ. They want to nab him as he boards the plane. The sheep wait in line and Gutterman worried that they will not get TJ on the plane. In the mean time in the background you can hear pilots checking in..."Anderson, Robert", etc. then you can here "Wiley, T. Joseph". But he's not supposed to get on the plane because he 'stole' a jeep. Then moment later a bandaged man boards the plane as a patient, but, surprise, it's T.J. in disguise...but we heard you check in! Then to cap it off, as the door to the plane is closed and the engines rev up, the MP with the passenger list checks it one more time and all the names are checked off except for TJ's.
