Bruno is not Carmen's husband nor Rose's dad-Now Fox's explanation is that he's Carmen's "boyfriend", which is dubious as well. Bruno is an actor, not a "school teacher" who's acting credits on imdb date back to the 1980s! Rose was the star of a Disney Channel show 'Movie Surfers' and even has an official page on Disney:

    Bruno the "teacher"'s film credits

    http://uk.imdb.com/name/nm0545969/

Their real names are Bruno Marcotulli, Carmen Wurgel (at least they got that one right!) and Rose Bloomfield. Given actors change their names all the time...

Here is a pic of rose on the Disney channel:

Did you research this all yourself, or getting from somewhere else? I would really like to know, because if this is true, I am not gonna watch this show anymore. The concept is really good, but if they pulled some stunt like this I am going to be really pissed off.

Are you the same person who posted this on IMDB, or are you just taking it from them?

What a Rip Off. I don't like reality shows anyway but I gave in and watched this one and it held my interest enough for me to want to follow it through. However now that I know this, to heck with it. I won't watch it. Thanks for the tip.

Not really surprising. About 76% of reality shows these days have paid actors.

If they are paid actors they could also be scripted. How nauseating that the network is passing this off as the real thing.

This is not an uncommon practice for reality shows several of the laguna beach charactors were in other reallity tv spots and in acting spots before the show.Like Stephen who appeared on the reality show "the Challenge" before Laguna.

Some spokes man says that the applications for the show were accepted and they liked the family before they even inquired about the acting experience.

either way i have been drawn to the show simply because

    1 it's unique
2 the show hasent come across scripted to me YET
3 they live in LA what family dosent have an actor in there family

Wow, if this show is really has paid actors I think Oprah will be mad again since the two "families" appeared on her show last month. Especially because of the author who wrote his "autobiography" which turned out to be fiction.

ha. first post! well anyways, i looked at that website for Rose, and under her interests it says her favorite music is the Cranberries! does one not remember that episode where she said that was her favorite band? ha. this show actually had interest, but it really is a joke now. honestly, i think it is just a ploy by Ice-Cube to promote his song for the show and an album.

lol i agree, during each episode they showed an advertisement for the album, and the song has even hooked on me from watching the show.

As an actor-even the court tv shows have actors..we portrayed somewhat real cases but overall it was pretty over the top. Just from watching the persons on Black.White you can tell they are actors either new or whatever. The concept was ok even if they were actors because some of the persons captured on the street and such were not actors...that is easily seen.
overall i was ok with it.

yes bruno did acting in the past...and right now he IS a school teacher. yes he is only the boyfriend of Carmen and yes Rose is now doing a show with dysney. So big frickin deal. So many people are soooo bent out of shape about this information. The fact is one family is black and one is white..that can never change..the reality is that it is obvious that some of the inphasis were purposly dramatized...but the real problem isnt this..the problem is how we the people take this show...real or not..its reality in our everyday lives. I am black and my husband is white..and our adopted daughter is Thai..so talk about a mixed race family...and majority of the "sterotypes" from that show are true..not by all but 99% of it I have witnessed on a daily basis..from black and from whites...the problem is that some people dont want to admit it. IT doesnt matter if these people were actors or not. Its what you take from the intent of it being reality. Dont take what others say about it being fake or not (and just because you have a website that has their name on it means nothing)
Talk to others who are connected to them....like the people from the show in Rose's poetry class...many of them are on live journal, myspace and blogger. Real journals and real connections...look at the reputation of Ice Cube and of Oparah...Oparah has been through enough **** with that book she promoted ..you think she wants to go through that agian..
    I dont think so...

You are all ignorant if you think the fact that the "white" family is FAKE and just ACTORS thrown together means nothing...

Maybe it would mean nothing for a crap show like Laguna Beach, but this
an RJ Cutler (American High, Fresman Diaries, 30 Days) produced show.
He is the king of doing good, interesting, thought-provoking reality
television.  Here he mocks the viewers by putting in a paid group of
white people to POSE as a family.

The problem is the severe lack of reality on what is SUPPOSED to be
an "interesting social experiment."  Remember, these are ACTORS.  They
are going to be more comfortable as black people then regular white
people putting the makeup on. THAT is a difference that killed the show
for me and most people who gave it a chance before discovering the
    DECEPTION here.

I would have loved to have seen a REAL white family that has NO
actors in them take part in this series.  In fact, if they do it again,
but with NO PAID ACTORS WHATSOEVER, I would watch.  This version we
have remains a farce though and you are pathetic to even considering
    picking up the DVD
