  • What do you get for the man who hates everyone? The Christmas spirit is somehow imparted to the man least prepared to receive it in the entire world.

    "Perfect"
Rowan Atkinson's evil-hearted leech tries to avoid the horror of actually being nice to everyone for a change.

It's Christmas, and the hard-working, honest Scratchits need mercy, help and some food to fill their stomachs. The Spirit of Christmas shows up to tell the nasty official Blackadder that his folk were once kind and helpful, and it's best to set out on the road back to this way of thinking.

Will the Scratchits finally have a nice holiday dinner? Will caroling neighbors, kindly souls and intervention from the ghost keep Blackadder in the right frame of mind?

    Not without a fight!

I doubt you'll be able to hear "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen" in quite the same way again.

Screamingly funny. Worth seeing all year round. Keeps the "bah humbug" spirit going amidst all that awful happiness.moreless

    • Ebenezer Blackadder: (reading Baldrick's Christmas card) A merry messy Christmas, (to Baldrick) Christmas has an H in it. And a R. And an I,also a S, T, a M, an A, and another S... Oh, and you missed out the C in the beginning. Congratulations are in order Mr. Baldrick, this is something of a triumph. You are the first person ever to spell Christmas, and not get any of the letters right at all! Edit
    • Prince George: I mean, for heaven's sake! What can I possibly do with a girl that I can't do with you, eh? Mr. Blackadder: I cannot conceive. Edit
