    The Blackadder: Episode 4 "The Queen of Spain's Beard"

    Blackadder II: (Tie) Episode 5 "Beer" & Episode 6 "Chains"

    Blackadder The Third: (Tie) Episode 4 "Sense and Senility" & Episode 5 "Amy and Amiability"

    Blackadder Goes Forth: (Tie) Episode 2 "Corporal Punishment" & Episode 4 "Private Plane"

    Honorable Mentions: Every other episode in all four series'.

    I love the first series and think it's highly underrated. It's the only series where it's difficult for me to choose a favourite episode from. I find throughout the series, it's also the bit actors I enjoy, the random characters, like the baby-eating bishop of Bath and Wales, or Lord Flasheart, or of course the two actors.

    A lot of people seem to like the last episodes, but I don't like them very much myself. I think they are mostly a let-down and don't hit the high notes that the other episodes hit, especially in the final episode of the final series... pretty sad stuff.

    Iloved episode 1 season 4 - Captain cook, and I loved the whole third season, particularly Ink and Incapability

    I agree. "Ink and Incapability" was definitely Season Three's best. It has what I think is the best line in "Blackadder the Third" - "Sir, the prince is young and foolish. And has a peanut for a brain"

    I do like Amy and Amiability for the line: "Oh, God. What a way to die. Shot by a transvestite on a unrealistic grassy knoll."

    I've only watched "Blackadder goes forth".
    My favourite episode is "Corporal Punishment" and my least favourite is "Goodbyeee",it's so sad...

    I know. It was the best ending to a show I've ever seen. I'd even go so far as to say it was perfect.

    Why do people dislike Goodbyee just cause it had a sad ending? Thats why its one of my favourites, I even liked Baldricks moving speech was great.

    I agree.  It was so poignant and brilliantly summed up the futility that was WWI.  The way it just faded to the poppies was so simple and moving.  I can't think of a better ending for a series set during a war in which millions died.

    my favorite season was the 2nd...and i think the best episode was the "Chains". but the other eps were cool too... i love each of them

    I really agree, i think that is one of the best episodes of a tv show of all time. The poppies make me cry. I just love the way it segues from being this comedy show and then suddenly when they have to 'go over the top' they are real men with a terrible fate before them. The contrast between humour and tragic reality just makes it so poignant and real and it was such amazing writing. My grandad died in that war and i've seen war docs and stuff but that really hit it home for me, what it must have been like. One day you're joking in our very English way of laughing the face of death and then the next minute its for real and you have to have all your resolve. I thought it was totally believable that these characters who were often shown as cowardly and cunning would just be like 'lets do this' in the face of it. It was totally excellent but yeah, soooo sad
