OK, I know threads like this are often lame, but I couldn't resist.

If they ever made more episodes, when and where do you think they could be set?

I heard Rowan Atkinson wanted to do a series based in a German World War II POW camp. That sounds like a great idea to me personally.

I'd like a II.W.W. one with the same actors than "Blackadder goes forth",but I don't think is going to happen...

    Still, it's fun to specluate!lol

I heard that a biblical one, and a 60s one were talked about officially.

I always thought a Roman or King Arther one would have been fantastic. It always annoyed me that there were only 24 episodes. The BBC seem to only make 6 in a comedy series, where american networks make 12-24! Not fair! All four seasons could have gone much further and still been fresh. And only 4 seasons? How is that fair?

It would also be fun to have an episode which takes place during the industrial revolution, since it was such an important part of British history.

They could have revistited the Victorian character in Blackadders Christmas Carol for that, but it would need to be post-evil.

Yeah, they were thinking about doing one in the 60's, and Baldrick shot JFK while playing with a gun.

They should make one in the time where Britain was ruled by the Romans...all sorts of crazy stuf could happen, like Baldrick accidently poisoning the Emperor or making the colisseum collapse...or they could join the Celts and live like Wood Elves...Man, I gotta get off this stuff!

And thus proves why British comedy is better than American, always leave them wanting more.

The court of Henry VIII were Blackadder Sr. squandered the family fortunes and only managed to stay in the courts favour because of his hilarious impressions of Anne of Cleaves!

There are so many fascinating aspects of history to plonk Blackadder into. What about the American War of Independence? I also echo those who'd love to see a Roman one.

not strictly in history but I do remember Rowan saying he would love to do a new twist on the blackadder franchise and he stated he'd love to make something like "bat-Adder" with Tony Robinson as a Robin/Baldrick hybrid I imagine, but this was a few years ago

The future, as in the Blackadder Christmas Carol. It looked like Spinal Tap meets Buck Rogers, and I loved it!

Yeah, Rowan did once say in an interview that he wanted to do "The Blackadder Five" set in the sixties. Baldrick would have been "Bald Rick", and one of the episodes would have him shooting Kennedy.

That's how the BBC works. They will tell the story they set out to tell and then end it. That way they have a show that will be remembered fondly forever with no filler episodes. There isn't one American made show that doesn't have a few stinker episodes mixed into its run.

As many of the participants, I surely could enjoy a Blackadderum in ancient Rome, because it's a period in History in which the plot will be perfectly developed.

But I think that we could also try to imagine Edmund Blackadder in other cultures. I am from Catalonia, and if I think about it, some parts of our history came to me me easily. For example, and similarly to Blackadder's first season, the time in which the crown of Aragon had changed its dinasty. The king Martin I the Humane, from the House of Barcelona, died withouth a heir and, after two years of a violent interregnum, representatives from three of the regions of the kingdom (Aragon, Valencia and Catalonia), gather to decide who had to become the next king. This meeting and the agreement was designated as the Compromise of Caspe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compromise_of_Caspe).

What do you think? It's a good setting? Could you find any other?
