I just want to set the record straight especially fror those who think(see the thread below-Buffy vs Blade vamps) that Blade vamps are better or superior than Buffy's. That's laughable!! In truth exactly the opposite is true...Blade vamps will ALWAYS be inferior to Buffy's. Here are FACTS : Blade vamps can die in 12 ways (that i found so far) while Buffy vamp in only 5 ways (there are no other). If you want me to elaborate on this let me know and i'll spell it for you...These facts cannot change and the fact is that Blade vamps are so ridiculously easy to kill and in so many ways that it's not even funny. A vampire's biggest power is immortality and Buffy's are much closer to it than Blade's by FAR...There's at least one truly immnortal vampire in the Buffyverse while there are NONE in Bladeverse(although they have tried). In Buffyverse all vampires grow more powerful with age and loose weaknesses as they go along whereas in Blade(with a few exceptions) quite the opposite happens. In Buffyverse all vamps can potentially become truly invincible(or extremely powerful) either through magic or their own evolution. In Bladeverse no such thing exists.(Deacon Frost doesn't count he died(emphasis on dying here) like a punk by turning into bubblegum, lol). Not to mention the fact that all Buffy's vamps possess eternal life(or youth) like any self respecting vampire while Blade not so clear some age some don't (depending on their line or purity of the retrovirus in their blood) and i find that to be the biggest weakness of all. Buffy= pure supernatural ; Blade= a mere infection , a genetic virus. = No contest imo.
Unlike rabid ignorant Blade fans i'm a vampire lover and know both mythologies thoroughly. Don't get me wrong i enjoy the Blade films(less the series) for their look and coolness but that's about it. But Buffy's vamps have always been cooler to me in terms of their look , esthetic and mythology. I just can't take seriously a vampire mythology where you can kill them by sprinkling some liquid garlic their way or on their skin and they start to melt. Or uv lamps and weapons or silver bullets where even a child can shoot them from afar and kill them(if their aim is good granted), but shining a lamp on them or uv grenade is easier still. The point is you can't do any of those things to Buffy's-ONLY the CLASSIC ways work). This is the very problem .Blade vamps have very little dignity because of the all the asinine ways they can be killed , period.
