Blazing Dragons

Season 1 Episode 7

Merle's Mirror

Aired Daily 1:30 PM Oct 21, 1996 on TELETOON

  • Trivia

    • This is the second time we see Knight #2 get excluded. When Merle changes Geoffrey and his evil knights into beetles, you see each of them disappear in a cloud of smoke, but when they actually show them as beetles, the only ones that are there are Geoffrey, Knight #1, and Knight #3.

    • When Flicker is in the dungeon, his cloths constantly keep switching between his regular armor and his chef's bib that he put on for chopping cabbage much earlier in the episode

    • Major goof: At the end of the episode, when the moat water bursts from the door, Flicker is seen riding out on a barrel. He was previously in the main castle room, and is seen there once more at the end of the episode. How could he be in two places at once?

  • Quotes

    • King Allfire: (after boulder smashes his thrown) You're not suggesting, I mean, you don't think...
Flame: Someone has a strong aversion to red velvet and teak?

    • Count Geoffrey: (after getting hit in the head by a goblet from some rats)
(In a very pronunciated and separated way)
When is Allfire going to be out of the way so I can take over Camelhot and burn this place to the ground!?
      Merle: 15 minutes?
      Count Geoffrey: ...ok.

    • Flame: Well it looks like everyone is back together again.
Flicker: Yes, and there is something I'd like to ask you Flame.
      Flame: (very hopeful) Yes?!
Flicker: How is it that swiss cheese can still stay afloat, yet it is so full of holes?
      Flame: *sighs*

    • Count Geoffrey: Okay Merle! Bring on the heavy artillery!
Merle: (very nonchalantly) Here ya go. (hand him a mirror)
Count Geoffrey: A Mirror? What are we going to do? Flash a bit of sun in their eyes?
