With Rukia under the control of Mabashi's doll Ritz Orihime struggles to attack her as there only seems to be one choice, to kill Rukia. Just then Hisagi shows up to aid Orihime.
  • Now this is what I'm talking about.

After watching a stupid flashback episode, Bleach is getting back to the action. Even though these episodes are fillers, they're alot better then watching pointless fillers on Naruto (no offence Naruto). What really surprised me in this episode was Rukia in her death god form. After seeing her in it, I thought she was going to call out her soul slayer (just a little bit longer I guess). This episode really prove to me that Inoue is actually guite strong.moreless
  • Orihime vs. Rukia?

Never thought I'd see the day when I saw these two fight. And you know what? I'm a bit disappointed. The fight for the most part was pretty dull and it took up this entire episode. In fact you can say it wasn't even really a fight. Most of it was Rukia chasing an unmotivated Orihime around because Orihime refuses to harm her friend. It was a bit emotional when all those flashbacks of when the gang invaded Soul Society just to rescue Rukia, only for Orihime to have the decision in her hands to possibly kill her, but it was still kind of lackluster. What saves this episode from being totally abysmal is that the times that they actually did, like when Orihime was charging at Rukia with her shield up, it was kind of entertaining, while it lasted.moreless
  • this was disappointing.

This episode and the last one were really boring to me. The only decent part of this one was maybe when rukia drew her sword. But other than that, it was basically Orihime doing water works, taking forever to make a decision whether to hurt Rukia or not. Although i really doubt she'd ever even be able to even lay a hand on rukia if she tried. Kego finally gets some help when Ichigo takes him back to Urahara's shop. When get to see a little bit more of Rukia's power and skills- it would have been better if she were fighting a stronger opponent though.moreless
  • Mabashis doll takes control of Rukia, and she becomes his subordinate. Now, Orihime and Claude are left with no other option but to kill her, before she kills them. However, Orihime refuses to do that, and struggles to find a way to save Rukia.moreless

First of all, the whole friend-gets-possesed-and-we-must-kill-him thing, unless extremely well written, often ends up cheesy. This is the case. Orihime spends more than half of the episode dodging (and not) the attacks of a completely zombie Rukia, and if it werent for Claude, the Shun Shun Rikka, and later Hisagi, she would have died (which would please a large part of the fanbase, but lets try to remain objective). Im not judging the fact that she refuses to attack Rukia; Im judging the fact that she spends almost the entire episode doing nothing. When she finally decides to stand up and actually SAVE her (3 minutes before the end), she looks quite powerful, and the result is not bad (even though the final frame has CHEESE written all over the screen). But she could have made her mind a lot earlier, saving us from the whining thing and the crying thing and the flying-flowers-pulling-her-by-the-hair-to-save-her thing.

The fact that Rukias shinigami powers are back (even though it remains unclear if she completely recovered them) is interesting, but I really hope that they remain true to the story of the manga. Im saying this, because it would seem that theres still a lot of Bount Arc left, and I dont want them to spoil moments that belong to the manga storyline. The ones who read the manga will understand what I mean.

As for the highlights of the episode, Hisagi steps in, even though he doesnt get a major role in the fight. However, he meets Ichinose -who comes to rescue Mabashi- and recognises him, which is interesting. Also, Kira and Ichigo have a nice bonding scene -including an Ichimaru flashback-cameo-, which just keeps confirming the fact that Kira rules. No objections allowed ;) Next episodes Lieutenant guest star is Rangiku. I wonder where the hell is Yumichika.moreless
  • In this episode orihime must fight Rukia who is being controlled by one of the bounto's dolls.

This has got to be the most boring episode in the whole series. I almost destroyed my TV just watching it. Sure i get that this episode was about how their friendship is so deep and stuff but it was completly unecessary to have orihime crying for 18 minutes doing nothing. She didnt even try to do somthing she just stood there like an idiot, while screaming and complaining how she cant hurt Rukia. She could have at least tryed somwthing instead of waisting 30 minutes of my life. Overall im seriously dissapointed with this episode and they could have done much better with it.moreless
