Just realised thatthere is a new trailer for the new movie - The Hell Chapter. Seeing it has made me really depressed that it's a 8/9 month wait .

Looks pretty awesome, I'm guessing that Hell isn't going to return to the manga so TK's doing this so readers get some questions answered about it.

    What do you guys think?

Was it just me, or was Ichigo fighting Ulquiorra in that trailer? Might just be a flashback, or could be the arrancar are in hell now, which would be cool, I guess.

Did anyone see the new opening and closing? It has scenes from the new movie in it.

Though in my opinion, it's a little dull because they didn't show much besides Ichigo and the other primary characters fighting in the living world. Not much of the other soul reapers were seen (much to my disappointment ).

Oh, well, maybe they'll show more of the other soul reapers in ep 299 (though I'd better not get my hopes up ).

I orginally thought that they were purified like normal hollows but the recent chapter that TK released for the movie makes it seem that this isn't true, though it could be that like the hollows those who have performed evil acts before they died or are trully evil may go to hell.

I'm really confused with the whole new opening thing. I watched the episode where I normally do and the opening was normal, then I saw your post so I checked on youtube & saw the new openings there ... oh well at least I ended up seeing it in the end.
It looks so good, the more I see of it the more I want to go to Japan to go to the cinemas there.

I hear there's another trailer, a 40-second one. You'd find it on the official movie website.

Still not much of the other soul reapers are shown. Though I'm not too surprised, 'cause I hear...
    ***SPOILER***

    I'm hoping that's just a rumor.

Nevertheless, this trailer does show more impressive action scenes.

Why...do you want the movies to have thousands of soul reapers all eating up each other's face time?

I think a more personal movie'll be nice for a change - if its not too ridiculous.

Not at all. I just wanna see more than Rukia and Renji (they bore me ). Plus, there's one certain soul reaper I'm looking for.

On the positive side (for me), this looks like one movie Ishida will get a good role in for a change.

A personal movie? What do you mean?

Oh, a movie that is tightly oriented around Ichigo and his allies.

I really like the concept of Hell being brought into the series from more than just a quick glance style. Even cooler is that there's a possibility of deceased foes appearing, at least based on the episode that connected to the movie. Although I gotta wonder if material of the movie is supposed to be canon in the sense of Kubo overseeing the writing of it.

Only thing that's a shame though is that Hell itself is being seen in a movie which kinda brings down its chances of being explored with something in the series.

Uh, hey...if you go to the bleach asylum forum site, you'll find someone made a 3-part summary of the movie.

Though, I'm a little disappointed 'cause if the summary is true then...
    ***SPOILER***

BTW, did anyone see the 2nd and 3rd movie opening? Careful, there are some good spoilers.

Hey, did anyone watch the movie yet? I hear the raw version of it is out.

I just watched it two days ago. Personally, I thought it was another boring movie. Diamond Dust Rebellion is definitely still my favorite.

Sadly the rumor about the soul reapers having a poor role in the movie was true. And that's what I hated most. Heck, not many of them even appeared. Aside from Rukia and Renji, I only saw Hitsugaya, Rangiku, Byakuya, Ukitake, Yamamoto, Sasakibe, and a bunch of unnamed nobodies.

err...I would prefer the cast of a movie to consist of a few characters and create a solid interaction between the members rather than show the entire cast. An adventure with about 6-8 characters works fairly well - but gets really messy when you throw in all the soul reapers. However, I think the third movie slightly edges out the second one. Only because the villain of the second one was just not sympathetic at all. It also had some nice moments of subtlety, with clever solutions to problems. I love the part where Byakuya is marching through his house, sliding open door after door.
