I hadn't actually thought of that, but it does seem unlikely - more of a filler plot line rather than a cannon one.

One that has already been used in a Bleach OVA, so I'm doubtful it's going to be a part of the main storyline.

It would have been more fun if the last filler arc had Kyoka Suigetsu as leading the rebellion...but the plotholes/confusion/kaboom.

With all these new developments, I am willing to believe that Ichigo attained naturally what Aizen tried to do through absorbing the hogyoku(s). I expect they are both beyond Shinigami and Hollow.

With the revelation of the latest chapter, I'm thinking Ginjou may be the reason Substitute Shinigami became illegal to make. [Nearly got Rukia death penalty]

We know he's a major criminal and he likely did more than just go off the radar.

After watching Fullbinging arc i think it gives explanation to Ichigo's Hollow side.

he got hollow powers when hollow attacked his mother when she was pregnant ,

not because he turned 2 hollow by the time he got his shingami power back .

If that was true that just brings up more questions about how she managed to get away.

well there is that when ishin was talking to Urahara and when he mentioned an arrancar he encountered years before.. It could be that that is the reason why Ichigo's hollow form was so powerfull and why it resembeled espada... Just a guessin game, but at least it ain't otright ridicuolus as some that were posted here a few years back...

Is there any reason to think that Isshin didn't go through a similar transformation as Ichigo? By now we know more of Ichigo and his abilities from mom. But it's possible that Urahara knew so much of Ichigo and his situation because he helped Isshin attain powers in a similar fashion. Perhaps I missed some things from the manga, but I thought it was worth the mention

I was intending to ask if Isshin was more like Ichigo in the fact that Urahara helped secure Isshin's powers. However i read something about the Kurosaki family so never mind the point. Still jumping around the manga at the moment... heh... embarrassed...
