Matsumoto enters the real world and appears in front of Chad, Nova and Ishida. Soon enough they start fighting against Sawatari, and his doll Baura. Things quickly become difficult when they realize that Baura has control over other dimensions.
  • Boring!

Yet another boring fight within this pretty mediocre arc so far. It's amazing how an entire episode can go by with just the fight itself and nothing really happens. I mean Sawatari's Doll wasn't all that unique; the ability to use dimensions isn't anything new at all, and the whole fight was just basically the crew avoiding getting eaten whole by Sawatari's doll. Seeing Matsumoto Rangiku was pretty nice but the episode could have done without her nonchalant behaviour. Overall this episode concentrated on a single fight, and this single fight was executed pretty poorly. No special strategies, no hardcore action, just a pissing match with each side taking a jab at each other.moreless
  • Matsumoto Rangiku, vice-captain of the 10th Squad, visits the real world to assist in the battle against the Bounto. She meets up with Chad and Nova, and face a Bounto who's doll, Baura, has the ability to warp to different dimensions.moreless

Struggling to defeat the Bounto, Ururu is sucked into another dimension. Nova comes up with a plan to seal the Bounto in another dimension, at the same time freeing Ururu. Using Matsumoto as bait, they try the idea and succeed in warping the Bounto in another dimension. However, he is strong enough to tear open a dimensional rip to return to the real world.

There is much more action in this episode than the other fights. Ichigo's battle with Gowa was alright, and his hollow side showing up certainly intensified the episode, but it still doesn't compare with this one (Rukia/Inoue/Cloud's fight was just plain boring). I hope that the intense action will continue.moreless
  • As the battle against the Bount continues, Chad, Nova and Ururu face Sawatari, the oldest Bount, with the help of Rangiku. Sawatari reveals his Doll, named Baura, who can control dimensional space, and ends up swallowing Ururu to another dimension.moreless

For an episode of the Bount-arc, this was quite an entertaining one, far more than the one from last week, which promised too much and delivered almost nothing. In this case, Rangiku gets her deserved screentime. She jokes, shes serious, shes sexy, she hits on Nova, she calls Chad Chad (unlike the rest of the characters, except Ichigo), she releases her zanpakutohs shikai twice and she even uses one of my favorite Destructive Arts of kidoh.

As for Chad and Nova, they continue to have great chemistry, both when Nova is in human form and when he is in puppet form. In this case, we get to see them fight with all their strengths to defeat Sawatari, the oldest Bount (and likely, one of the most powerful).

Ururu deserves a special mention, as she gets to kick some ass against Baura, Sawataris rock-fish-like Doll; too bad that she gets sucked into another dimension before she can really damage it. Since the fight will continue in the next episode, I really hope they get her back so that she can kick the hell out of both Sawatari and his Doll.

  • We didn't know much about most of this characters in the anime only. For people who just watched the anime only we learn more of Matsumoto Rangiku, Ururu and Nova.

Very good way to make an episode. Putting Chad, Ururu, Nova, and Matsumoto aganist the 2nd or 3rd strongest bountou. Very interesting to see Nova and what he really can do with his powers. We finally get to see Matsumoto shi-kai, which is like Byakuya's shi-kai. Very good battle, they got the right people too battle Sawatari.

It was odd to see some of Ururu's powers finally. Well it was odd to see her only to really hurt Baura. I know the reasons, probably why Matsumoto couldn't really hurt Baura, but I won't say why. But it looks like they are at least still following the manga. Expect the part when they shown Mastumoto shi-kai more.moreless
  • Ururu, Chad, and Nova meet up with tenth division vice-captain Matsumoto Rangiku and fight the hardest Bounto yet, Sawatari.

I thought this episode was everything Bleach needed. It was exciting, made me stop breathing, it was funny, and to finish it, this episode was a cliffhanger. I thought they captured the character of Matsumoto perfectly. She was funny and bubbly in some situations, but she was serious and let her fighting side come out when it needed to. I thought her shikai was extremely intresting. It was definitely a surprise and one I thought was pretty amazingly cool. I also enjoyed the play of 'gender equality' in this episode with Matsumoto's feminstic side.
This episode made me long for more Bleach than most of the other episodes. I can't wait for next Tuesday!moreless
