New character? What happened to Don Konanji :(

The world of ghosts and ghouls is a bigger world than expected. Ichigo finds out that one of his classmates, Ishida, is a quincy; an archer who uses his spiritual energy to form bows and exterminate hollows. Just about every shounen needs that one character within the group--you just knew Ishida is going to be part of the group, if the opening theme is an indication of anything--that rivals the main character. I'm not sure if Ishida is really a good rival though (well there is Renji later on...) New characters are always welcomed though and this episode nicely introduced Ishida pretty well.moreless

Rukia gets a message on her pager about a nearby Hollow. When Rukia and Ichigo arrive at the place the where Hollow was supposed to be they find out that it had already been defeated. This happens once again but this time shortly afterwards a man who calls himself a Quincy confronts them. Rukia goes to the Urahara shop to learn more about what a Quincy is. She learns that a Quincy is a person that kills Hollows. But the way a Quincy defeats a Hollow is different; they totally destroy a Hollow while a Shinigami only "cleanses" its soul. This episode was awesome learning about quincys and shinigamis and their rivalry i loved it.moreless

Yeah, this was great. The introduction to a great character: Ishida. He's awesome, and I like his sewing skills, they're really cool.
He does have another side to himself, though: He is a Quincy; one of a people that have been long extinct. They specialize in archery, which is really, really cool. And he hates Death Gods.
So, he encounters Ichigo and Rukia, and introduces himnself, before vanishing. Later, Ichigo follows him, but Isihda notices. He then challenges him to a Hollow-defeating duel, to prove that the Quincys is better than Death Gods. This duel is one of the better stuff in Bleach; I really love it!
All in all, a really good episode! 9.6/10moreless

We finally meet Uryu Ishida.

This episode begins with Ichigo and Rukia and friends in trouble for what happen with the Don'onji thing last episode. They were seen on tv, Rukia acts like she's crying to distract the principal and others. So Ichigo and his friends can escape which they do. As soon as Rukia escapes too she has a signal of a hallow and takes Ichigo with her. Chad notices someone inside the school is watching them. Ichigo and Rukia go to where the hallow is and see nothing they find a spirit who says he saw the hallow but, was so scare he did not know what happen to it. Ichigo thinks Rukia's "cell phone" is busted. Later he is in school with his friends again who check a graph of some kind that shows who is the top of there close Ichigo is number 23 so his friends make fun of him for that but soon leave him alone. Rukia picks up another hallow and her and Ichigo leave. When they get there they don't see nothing again. This time they meet Uryu Ishida who senses another hallow and kills it. He tells Ichigo his name and leaves.

Later at school Ichigo trys to remember his name but can't then Orohime(spelling?) tells him the correc way to say it and makes a comment of him being in her knitting class which surpises Ichigo. He sees him in the class fixing up a stuffed animal. Rukia visits Mr. Hat and Clogs to tell her about Quincys(spelling?). Ichigo follows Uryu Ishida but Uryu Ishida has known Ichigo has been following him all along and challenges Ichigo to a contest. While Rukia learns more about the Quincys(sp?)

A very well episode if I say so my self it introduced Uryu Ishida my favorite character.moreless

These Qunicy were supposed to be defeated long ago.....what's one doing walking around??.....Big thriller

How is it that they were defeated long ago yet one is there killing more Hollows. I cannot believe Ichigo is going to fight this thing in a battle where he is not very trained just very dumb. The Qunicy had a point when he said that Ichigo isn't a very good soul reaper if he cannot even sence a hollow anywhere and couldn't even sense the Qunicy in the classroom when he had sensed Ichigo's power right from the beginning. It was pretty awesome how the Qunicy could kill a hollow that far away with that much accuracy. Pretty cool. This is a great anime series ready to be watched my everyone. Great show.moreless
