A filler arc that actually had some thought put into it.

A promising story so far, at least the premise behind it is more exciting then going into the Soul Society arc. At first this was looking like another rescue arc, this time involving Ishida. Good to hear that this isn't going to end up like that. The whole concept of the Bounts is shaping up to be one of the better characters in a filler arc; it looks like the storyboard actually used their own imagination for once. This arc is looking promising, but so far, other than potential, it really hasn't shown much. The pacing is once again just off by a tick. Something is just holding back the pacing down and you really can't put your finger on it.moreless

"Superb"

lol I gotta say this was probably one of the most seriously-themed but funny filler episodes I have ever seen, not that I have seen that many of them. The little interactions between Shunsui and Kurotsuchi was part of it since Mayuri is such a a** and Shunsui is laid back. Another hilarious part was when Kon put the whoopie cushion under Ichigo's bottom when he sat down, lol the mood just changed and everything got awkward. The expressions were priceless! Also the way Kon said 'boo-boo cooshon' then the squeak when he got hit, good times good times all around.moreless
